Vision Events was started in 2013 by two brothers. One has a daughter with a retinal degenerative disease and the other is an eye doctor (Ophthalmologist). Both have seen vision blinding diseases and have agonized over their devastating effects. Together they have participated in countless charitable sporting events over the years -- cycling, running, and swimming. Vision Events was created to combine their passion for sports with a cause dear to their hearts!
Vision Events has partnered with the Utah Chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness to hold two events each year, a 5k family run in the spring and a Century Bike Ride in the fall. Every dollar raised through event registration will be donated to The Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Our mission is to raise money for the research, prevention and treatment of vision blinding diseases and to provide an opportunity for our children, family, and friends to experience the joy of helping others while promoting a healthy lifestyle.
We will raise money by holding family-oriented recreational sporting events (cycling and running) throughout the year.
100% of the money we raise (including all registraton fees) will be donated to the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
